LPS-Hemo – Hemosorbent
Hemosorbent "LPS-hemo" is designed to detoxify the body in septic conditions - especially in the case of endotoxin shock, by selective endotoxin removal of whole blood and plasma.
The sorbent selectively removes sensitinogen nature lipopolysaccharide (endotoxin, LPS) produced and accumulated in the tissues during their invasion predominantly gram-negative microorganisms: escherichia, dysentery, and pseudomonas aeruginosa, sticks typhoid and paratyphoid and some others. Biospecific polymyxin ligand selectively binds LPS, connecting with its lipid portion (lipid A), blocks the active chemical groups, with the LPS structure is dissociated irreversibly.
Hemosorbent "LPS-hemo" has high bio- and hemocompatibility (thromboresistance, no dust particles, low non-specific adsorption of plasma proteins) that provides a good hydrodynamics and kinetics of sorption detoxification.
